Pasture renovation improves forage quality for school's horses (video)
The Locust Trace Agriscience Center in Fayette County gives high school students a chance to focus on an agriculture career in seven different pathways. One is equine science, where the students get a chance to work with horses that are on loan to the program. The center has outdoor paddocks for the horses to graze and just be outside. Recently those paddocks needed renovated with new pastures for the horses and that's when officials at the center turned to UK's horse pasture evaluation program.
