Class explores cover crops in ag systems (video)
Cover crops have many benefits for farmers, but they also can be difficult for growers to effectively manage. Students at the University of Kentucky are a part of a multidisciplinary class studying how cover crops can fit into diverse agricultural systems across the United States. As part of a class exercise, the students developed, planted and harvested their own crop mixture which included some surprising discoveries. (Read full story here)
